Mackinac Island is seriously one of the most charming places I have ever been. There are no motor vehicles allowed on the Island. You take a ferry across then you can walk, rent bikes or ride in horse carriages. We decided to walk and explore as much as we could. The fall colors were beautiful and it was so peaceful. Such a great place.

The dining room. Walking around the hotel you feel like you've stepped back in time to the 1920's. They had a Murder Mystery weekend going on too so people were dressed up old fashioned. So fun!

I so hope we can get up to Mackinac again while we are living there. I want to see it in the summer too.
