Thanksgiving

This year I have so much to be thankful for. The thing I am most thankful for is my wonderful family, especially our newest addition. Hailey has brought so much joy to our lives! She has been so much fun and we love seeing her little personality develop everyday. I am so thankful to belong to a church that teaches families can be together for eternity. I could not imagine not being with my amazing hubby and sweet daughter forever. I am so lucky to have them both!

This year we got to celebrate Thanksgiving with both our families. My family on Wednesday night and the DeMills on Thanksgiving day. I forgot my camera Wednesday so will have to steal some pics from my Mom but here are some from the DeMill Thanksgiving.

Hailey and her second cousin Vincent with their Grandmas

Dave tried to get Hailey to smile but she just looked at him and yawned. oh well

Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!!!

Flashback Friday...or Saturday (oops)

Here is this weeks flashback

Here we are fishing at Ferrin Reservoir down by the DeMill cabin in Manti a few summers ago. We were posing for a picture with a fish we had just caught when the fish decided to jump out of Dave's hands right at me. It completely freaked me out! Here is Dave calming me down while laughing hysterically at me of course!

Family Pics

2 weeks ago we got family pictures taken with the DeMills at Busath. We are waiting to get copies but I couldn't resist posting a sneak peak...yes I took a picture of the proof on my computer screen, that's not illegal right? I figure since we are ordering copies it's ok. Anyways, Hailey was not the happiest girl the morning of pictures. I had to wake her up to get ready plus she didn't sleep much that night (which meant I had very tired puffy eyes for the pictures oh well). Luckily we did get this cute shot right at the end. Isn't it so precious?

We LOVE our little monkey!!! Enough said...

Here is Hailey's "I just woke up from a good nap face" Check out that bed head! She has some seriously crazy hair, just like her Daddy!

Flashback Friday

So I was organizing pictures on our computer the other day and ended up spending almost an hour looking back and reminiscing. Anyone ever do that? Since I see blogging as my way of scrapbooking I've decided to copy what I've seen on a few blogs and do "Flashback Fridays" where I post pictures from days past so I can record some great times that came before I joined the blogging world. Let's be honest that I probably wont do it every Friday but I will try until I run out of pics at least. Here is today's flashback

Flashback to our Honeymoon in beautiful Puerto Vallarta. Here we are after a yummy lunch overlooking the ocean...heavenly. It seriously was just the vacation we both needed after a busy few months of school, work and wedding planning!

First time without my girl

Last night I left Hailey for the first time so I could go play in my Monday night volleyball league. I wont lie it was hard! I was thinking about her the whole time. I hadn't played in over 9 months so I was a little rusty to say the least. Add the fact that I was thinking about my little girl and it made for not the prettiest volleyball on my part. Thanks to my team for being patient with me! Hailey seemed to do fine without her Mom or Dad which is a great thing since I am starting back at work next week (2 days a week). Don't get me wrong, I love my job but I am not overly excited to go back. Luckily I have such wonderful family members to look after Hailey otherwise there is no way I would be going back!

Look who's smiling now!

Look at what little miss Hailey started doing this week...

...that's right she has officially started smiling!!! Before she would have a few random smiles but now if you talk to her and smile at her she usually will give you a big grin right back. It's so fun!!! I wish we had better pictures. We usually just grab the nearest cell phone to try to snap one and once she sees the phone she usually gets distracted and stops smiling. I am sure I will post many more smiling pics in the months to come. We are just loving being her parents. She is such a blessing in our lives!

Happy Birthday Ann

I just wanted to wish Dave's Mom a Happy Birthday!!! We are so lucky to have you in our lives. We went out to a yummy dinner at Bonsai to celebrate...

Here is Hailey with her uncle Adam. We woke her up to take a picture so she is kinda out of it. She was not too amused by being woken up.

Salon Girls Day

The other day I took Hailey into work so she could meet everyone and so I could do my Mom's hair (and get mine done too of course). We had a fabulous girls day at the salon. It was fun introducing her to some of my work friends. Here she is with Lizzy and Katie.

We were all laughing when Lizzy was holding her because she was doing this "I'm in deep thought" pose

After the day at the salon we went to dinner at Grandma Ann's house. Such a fun day!

1 month old!!!

Today Hailey is officially one month old! I can't believe how fast she is growing up! I am cherishing every moment I have with her. She is starting to become more aware of the world around her. I love watching her look around. I wonder what is going through her little head. She also has started to hold her head up by herself. It's really cute cause you can tell she is pretty proud of herself. I thought I would snap a quick video of her so I can remember just what she was like at one month. I took this this morning right after she woke up, it's my favorite time of day with her. She makes the best faces including a pretty good Zoolander "blue steel" one!

Hiccups

Here's a little video Dave took of Hailey with the hiccups when she was 5 days old. I love her hiccups, they are so sweet! I had forgotten about it until I was organizing stuff on our computer tonight and thought I would post it. I love Dave's commentary. He is always entertaining when he takes videos.

Halloween Party

Friday night we went to a fun party in Park City with some of our med school friends. We have been slackers the past few years and haven't dressed up so it was a fun change this year. We did a Peter Pan theme...Dave was Captain Hook, I was Peter Pan and Hailey made an incredibly adorable Tinker-Bell! We had a blast. It was fun seeing everyone's costumes. Sadly I didn't get pics of them all. There were some really clever ones!

Isn't she the cutest Tinker-bell you've ever seen? True I am biased cause I'm her Mom but seriously...

After the party we stopped by Ted & Susan's house so they could see our costumes.

Hailey loves her Grandpa Ted!!!

Zonked out after an eventful night
