Stood up...

I saw a situation at work last weekend that for some reason I can't stop thinking about it...It was Saturday night and we were pretty busy and I noticed a man sitting at a table for two looking around anxiously. This man was maybe 35 or so and he was dressed in his finest suit, with his hair meticulously combed. On the edge of the table there was a bright yellow book which he kept readjusting. It was just like those scenes in movies in which someone waits at a cafe with a rose, or in this case a book, on the table for a mystery date and in the case of this man his date never showed. It was so sad watching as his nervousness turned to doubt and then finally to sadness. He decided to go ahead and order and he sat eating alone for the next hour, still glancing up when anyone walked through the door. It absolutely broke my heart!!! We tried to comb the restaurant to see if there were any single women that we could send his way but to no avail. I seriously wanted to cry he looked so disappointed. Seeing this made me realize how lucky I am to be married to my incredible husband! I hope this man can find someone to make him as happy as Dave has made me!!!

Hey Natalie. I found your blog through Kaci's. I just got my blog so I don't have much yet. This will be fun to be able to stay in touch in between the lake powell trips. :) By the way are you guys going in July?

That is a sad story! and it does sound like it's right out of a movie. We ate at the Jasmine last week and saw you, but you looked crazy busy. Next time we come, we'll have to be in your section.
