Halloween was a week long celebration this year. We had a lot of fun and the girls loved that they got to be princesses pretty much every day of the week.
my Cinderella (or as she says "Rella")
my Snow White
Can you tell Nora was excited?
these two hug all the time lately. Makes my heart happy
Ward Party
Her best buddy Addison. These two are seriously adorable together. They get together weekly for playdates and have so much fun
Dave sadly got stuck at the hospital with an emergency and was only able to make it to the very end of the party. Glad he at least made it for some of it. The girls would've been sad if their Prince Charming hadn't shown up.
Helping pass out (or eat) candy for the trunk-or-treat
Friend Party
We went to a fun party at the Bennett's house. We have been so lucky to have been blessed with a great group of friends here. It makes such a difference when you are living away from family! I don't know what I would do without these people.
the ladies (plus Brooke's cute Mom who was in town)
Our silly men (some of them at least)Playgroup Parties
I ended up hosting parties for both our Resident and Ward playgroups. It ended up working well. They were back to back days so I just decorated once. I didn't get a lot of pictures of either. I was too busy entertaining (aka making sure my house didn't get too destroyed. There were a lot of kids running around!)
decorating cookies
I set up a little "photo booth". I had the best intentions to get pictures of all the kids in their costumes but these are all I got. It's the thought that counts right?
The minute I took Nora out of her costume she decided she wanted her picture taken and kept hopping in other people's pictures.Preschool Party
I also had the opportunity to help with Hailey's preschool party on Halloween. It was fun seeing all the kids dressed up. We have been really pleased with her preschool so far. She absolutely loves it!
trick-or-treating around the church (Her preschool is in a beautiful old Methodist Church)
Is it just me or is their something wrong with this picture? This is her "bestest friend" Leland. These two are seriously attached at the hip.
Nora came with me and went to "her class" (the sibling nursery) She went as Minnie Mouse because she ripped her Cinderella costume and frankly we were both ready for a change in attire.
It was pouring rain Hallowwen night so we opted to not go trick-or-treating. Since our kids had already technically trick-or-treated twice we figured we could skip it. They didn't seem to mind and we had a very peaceful evening at home. Glad our kids aren't old enough yet to realize the amount of candy they missed out on. Next year I am sure things will change
