Stitches

Last week my sister Lisa and I did a date night swap with our kids. They watched our girls while we went to the Steve Martin concert then we took their kids the next night so they could go out. We decided to take all the kids to the splash pad. We had a lot of fun until some kid accidentally punched Hailey in the face. He was punching one of the water fountains shooting up from the ground and Hailey came running through it and he didn't see her and smacked her hard. We could tell right away that she would probably need stitches so Dave took her to the Doctor while I took Nora and the other kids back to my sisters. I was so sad that I couldn't be there with Hailey but Dave was great to send me pictures to keep me updated. After seeing the pictures I decided maybe it was better I didn't go. I probably would've been a mess. I am glad Hailey had her calm Doctor Daddy there with her. She was such a trooper for the whole thing. The Doctor was shocked and said they usually have to sedate kids her age but she was a champ and they didn't have to sedate her. So far she is healing well and we are hoping the scar won't be too terrible.

 See the kid punching the water below Nora? He was the culprit. Poor little guy felt really bad though.

 She was so tough we decided she deserved a new toy so the next night we took her to Toys R Us. She was in heaven.  

and just for fun here we are at the Steve Martin concert. It really was such a great night. I love summertime concerts!
