Well it is now officially less than a month until we get to meet our baby girl!!! They have me scheduled to be induced August 26th. Because I am Diabetic they are inducing me just after 38 weeks because the Diabetes can make babies grow too big. We are trying to avoid another almost 10lb baby like Hailey (as much fun as that was...not) As of now she is measuring smaller than Hailey was at this point so that is a good sign (not sure why my belly seems so much bigger if she is smaller...go figure) We are monitoring her very closely. I am having non-stress tests twice a week and seeing Dr. T once a week. I feel like I pretty much live at the hospital but I know it's worth it to make sure she is alright. Right now the little stinker is breech and I am really hoping she decides to flip on her own. If she doesn't they will try to manually flip her (which I hear is horrific) and if that doesn't work I will have to have a c-section. I am not totally opposed to a c-section but I'd rather not have to have one if we can help it so everyone keep your fingers crossed for me.
I have definitely started the nesting phase. Although I seem to have more projects to get done than energy to do them lately. Being pregnant while taking care of a very active 21 month old can be tiring for sure, especially in the heat of the summer (remind me again why I thought an August baby was a good idea?!) Overall I feel pretty good though. I am just so excited to meet this litte girl!!!
Here are a few things getting me through this pregnancy right now...

I have really liked this workout DVD. I have been rotating between this one and the Erin O'Brien one I used last pregnancy. I still go to the gym sometimes too but it's nice to be able to workout at home while Hailey is napping. Plus these days I feel like whenever I go to the gym people just stare (yes, pregnant women workout too)

Being Diabetic I always have limit my carbs a little and make sure to get a lot of protein but I have to do more so when I am pregnant. I love this yogurt because it has twice the protein of regular yogurt and I like the tart taste.

Thank you 7-Eleven for having sugar free slurpees!!! They have been a great treat for me in this heat.

not sure if this stuff really helps prevent stretch marks (couldn't hurt right?) but it makes your skin so soft and relieves the itchiness that comes with a stretching belly
Other things I am grateful for right now...swimming, my Toms, A/C, assistants at work to shampoo my clients (definite back saver), Tums, and a very helpful husband!

August 26th, why that's Ethan's birthday! How funny. I'm glad everything is going ok and I'll certainly be thinking of you. No matter what happens, c- section or not, you are in excellent hands with Dr. T!
I'm out of town right now but I'd love to see you sometime this month. Let me know if there's anything I can do for you before or after she arrives! Hang in there!
James was breech, too! They tried to flip him, and it didn't work. It hurt, but I hear it only hurts if they don't flip (another reason to hope for a flip!). He ended up being a c-section and his baby pictures were that much cuter because of it. He had a perfectly round little head where Kate had a cone head for a long time. I am so excited for you! I love having two kids. It is so much fun to see them play together. James gets the giggles all the time when he's watching Kate. It's great. Good luck to you!!
Natalie, that is exciting your baby is almost here! Hang in there this last month, it's always tough. And I am excited to see you with another gorgeous little girl!
You look amazing! No surprise there. I'm glad you shared your workout preferances because I need to find an alternative to running since I'm hitting the point where it is getting uncomfortable to run more than 3 miles. I hope the baby decides to turn and you don't have to do the external turn. I've also heard those are miserable. Good luck!
I hope that somehow this baby will turn all on her own! You are champ and I hate all the blood work!! Oh what we do for these little ones...you look great! Can't wait to see her!!
