The second trimester has been so much better for me than the first so far. I am so glad the constant queezy, I am going to throw up feeling has left and my energy level is much better, still not great but better. The other night I got heartburn for the first time which I had read was very common. Dave was laughing at me because I told him I thought heartburn was kinda a "cool feeling". A few days later, after serious bouts of that so-called cool feeling I asked him if I could take that statement back. Don't get me wrong, I am not complaining because I know it is one of the many joys of pregnancy. I have tried changing my diet to avoid triggering it but it seems to come no matter what. All I can say is I am thankful that Tums aren't on the do not take if pregnant list! According to some wives tales, which drive Dave absolutely nuts I might add, the heartburn either means our baby will have lots of hair or it is a boy. The boy part we will know soon enough (7 days and counting...yay) I guess we will have to see about the hair in October.

I never had heartburn and I got a boy with tons of hair! :) You never know. I cant believe you find out in 7 days!!! That is so exciting. I cant wait to hear what you are having. Im glad you are starting to feel better!
I had the worst Heartburn Ever!! and i got a girl with no hair whatsoever so i think it is just how it goes. Just keep popping those tums! I would eat a yogurt and get heartburn so I feel your pain. Good luck!!
Tums are seriously the best. I've gone through 2 bottles since being pregnant. I don't know what I would have done without them!! Good luck and enjoy the 2nd sememster - it's the best!
haha, glad you've found some relief from tums, too! I'm having a girl, so that part of the wives tale isn't true for me...guess we'll see about the hair :)
Natalie I totally know how you feel. I had heartburn so bad when I was pregnant with tate. I changed my diet and nothing changed. I'm sorry to say that you are just going to have to deal with it, sad but true!! I totally think the wives tales are true about a boy and lots of hair cause I had mad heartburn and I had a boy and her was born with lots of dark hair. can't wait to find out what you are having!!
Well, I know my baby is a girl so maybe she will have lots of hair since I get heartburn everyday! I tried tums for a while but had to move on to something stronger...Zantac 75! I can't wait to find out if you are haveing a girl or a boy! It so exciting!
Seven days and you find out!?! That's so exciting! I had awful heartburn- and my Natalie had tons of hair :) i dont really believe that old wives tale though. I learned to stay away from onions 100%, that helped a little, but I ended up taking Zantac so I could sleep at night and I was always proped up with pillows. What Man termed all these side effects "the JOYS" of pregnancy??? :)
congrats on being pregnant! that is so exciting! i had heartburn so bad but it was with camree and not kyson so i don't know about the whole wives tale thing although camree did have a lot of hair. i can't wait to hear what you are having.
