Last week Dave had an interview in Tucson and 2 in San Diego (one for his intern year and the other for Opthamology) So we decided to tag along and make a vacation of it. We spent a lot of time driving in the car and I am still pinching myself because our girls both did SO well! I was shocked! Hailey spent a lot of time playing on the Ipad (so grateful for it) and Nora slept or played happily most of the time. We got passes from Costco that were for unlimited access to Sea World, the Safari Park and the Zoo and we definitely got our moneys worth. It's a great time of year to go because it wasn't very crowded and they have all their Christmas decorations up. Ted and Susan decided last minute to fly down and join us in San Diego and we loved having them there. It was such a fun week!
SEA WORLD
Dave rode the Atlantis ride first thing when we got there in the morning. As you can see he was the only one brave enough to get wet that early :)

SAFARI PARK
Dave wasn't able to come with us to the Safari Park because he was interviewing. I was really grateful to have Ted and Susan there to help with the girls. I had never been there before so it was fun to see.
It was so pretty!
the cutest baby gorilla trying to steal it's Mom's food.
SAN DIEGO ZOO
I think Hailey may be a little disappointed next time we visit the Hogle Zoo after being here. She was in heaven (that girl loves animals). We spent 1 1/2 days there, the first with all of us then on our last day in San Diego Dave had an interview and Ted and Susan went to golf with some friends so I took the girls back to the Zoo again for the morning. So fun!
Grandpa bought her a leopard that she carried with her the rest of the day
the adults convincing Hailey it was fun posing with the seal :)
she wasn't too amused
riding as Hailey called them "the buckets high in the sky"
Polar Bears (my favorite)

Looks like so much fun! I love San Diego and am so glad you could take your family there. We rode the Atlantis ride 3 times in June because my kids loved it (after the youngest 2 cried through the first ride, that is!) I laughed out loud when I saw your pictures posing with the seal. Too cute! Glad you could have some fun in the midst of Dave's craziness! Love you!!!
