WHERE DID YOU MEET YOUR HUSBAND: at a Birthday party for my friend Brittany Reimann. I was actually talking to another guy when I saw Dave across the room and became very distracted! I couldn't resist his blue eyes, amazing smile and his adorable dimples! Luckily for me my friend Anne knew him and introduced us. The rest is history....
WHERE WAS YOUR FIRST DATE: We went to McGrath's fish house then we went to his Dad's house and watched a DVD of a Journey concert. We were planning on going to a movie, but when I mentioned to Dave that Journey was my favorite band he changed the plans :)
WHERE WAS YOUR FIRST KISS: The back door of my parents house. I don't think either of us were planning to kiss that night. It just sort of happened...we are glad it did!
DID YOU HAVE A LONG OR SHORT COURTSHIP: Medium I guess. We had only been dating a few weeks when Dave left to study abroad in Spain for 2 months. We emailed each other everyday he was gone. A month after he got home we decided to get married, we just didn't tell anyone yet :) we were officially engaged 4 months later and married 5 months after that.
WHERE DID YOU GET ENGAGED: At his Grandparent's place down in Manti. We went there for a weekend with some friends when we first started dating and that's where I really started falling in love with him. When he proposed he tricked me into thinking I was making a delivery for work. We stopped in Manti so he could "use his Grandpas bathroom" little did I know he had driven down earlier that morning and set up roses and candles everywhere. He went to so much work! It was SO romantic!!!
WHERE DID YOU GET MARRIED: the Salt Lake Temple May 4th, 2006
HOW DID YOUR RECEPTION GO: It was perfect! I was just as I imagined, but if something did go wrong I don't think I would have noticed, I was just so happy to finally be married to my best friend! We did have a little rain, but it really set the mood. I felt like I was in a romantic movie. Plus our umbrella pictures from the Temple are some of our favorites, and apparently rain on your wedding day means you will be wealthy...hmm...
WHERE WAS THE HONEYMOON: We went to the Dreams Resort in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. It was incredible! It was all-inclusive so we definitely felt pampered. We only left the resort once ( to go on an adventure that involved riding mules, repelling down waterfalls and riding ziplines) . We had so much fun!
I love reminiscing on how we met and fell in love. I am so lucky to have such a wonderful husband!
